County Captain’s Report by Steve Davies
The Men’s team beat Wiltshire, and Norfolk and lost to a strong Avon side. They finished second in the group but did not progress to the next stage due to only one out of the four Counties in the group going forward to the next stageunder the new format.
Treasurer’s Report
During the past year our funds have decreased by £933 from £3,231to £2,298. Of the original £3,231, £300 was the remnants of an England Squash grant for coach training. During the year we have received a further £1,500 for coach training, This has been used to provide 8 players with the Level 1 course plus a 101 Leaders course for staff at Lewsey (101 is the England Squash beginners course program).
The year end funds of £2,298 contains £319 of the England Squash training grant, some of which we hope to use for a 101 Leaders course for Dunstable, Flitwick and Bunyan leisure centre staff plus any other players whoare interested. So our “non grant” funds started at £2,931 and decreased to £1,975.
During the year we have spent £1,318oon non-recurring items, namely
coach development and initial engagement with schools
a grant to Paul Main towards the cost of competitions for his daughters and also for his work for Beds SRA
The professionals match at the end of season event
Removing the£1,318 of non-recurring items from the non-grant funds would have given us a an increase in funds of £385.
Regarding England Squash fees, all teams except Flitwick had at least seven players who were members of England Squash.

4. Fees Payable and Deadline
It was agreed that the membership fee for the League should stay at £80 for Division 1 and should be £50 for Division 2 It was agreed that the League fee and any England Squash fees should be paid by the 25th October. Also that seven players from each team should be registered with England Squash.
5. League Entries and Division 2
It was thought that there would be the same teams in Division 1 as the past year plus Carlton. It was agreed that the top 5 players at a Club should be tied to Division 1.
6. Cup and County Closed
It was agreed that there should be a junior competition in September and a senior one in early December at Towers. This year it would probably be a knock out with main, B grade and Over 50s depending upon the number of entries. There would also be a team knock out with the semi final and final played over a weekend.
